Switchgear Refurbishment
EPDL initially specialised in the refurbishment of oil filled L&C equipment but also undertakes a variety of other equipment and manufacturers.
Our refurbishment's follow a detailed schedule of work, inspection and test.
Check all contact conditions and settings replacing components as necessary.
Replace indicators and labels where necessary.
Check all fixings are secure.
Thoroughly clean the interior and flush with clean oil.
Refinish the exterior of the unit maintaining the standard of metal protection. Exterior fixings are replaced with stainless steel fixings.
Complete full electrical test routine including power frequency and resistance tests.

As an extension to our refurbishment programme we also offer a range of options and products to enhance the performance of the original equipment.
Stainless steel cable boxes.
Stainless steel main and access cover fabrications.
Replacement radiators, fully galvanised.
Replacement of fixings with stainless steel items.
Replacement labels and viewing windows.
We also work in partnership with DNO's to assist with failure investigations and design improvements, to provide a solution and to undertake site rectification if required.
